Start Times
Registration open from 8:30am - 10:00am. The 4km walk will be between 9:00am - 11:00am.

Online Pre-registrations close on Friday 8th May 2009. Registrations can still be made on the day.

Overview
The 2009 MPW will be held at Fairy Meadow Surf Lifesaving Club. It was held at that venue for the first time last year and was a great success.
Participants can either come along on the day and give a donation OR pick up a Sponsor Book prior to the day from the Unanderra Animal Shelter and get people to sponsor them.
The Walk will commence at 9:00am and people can regsiter up to 10:00am. The walk can be done comfortably in approximatly 45 minutes. The last leg of the walk will be along the cycleway back to the Surf Club. It is a very pleasant walk along the beach.
Woonona Lions Club will be serving Egg & Bacon Rolls from 8:00am for those who come early and they can register from 8:30am. However for safety reasons we will not allow participants to start the walk until all the marshals are in their positions along the road and cycleway at 9:00am.
Dapto Lions Club will be cooking snags on the barbie and refreshments will be available all day.
We will have the Concord 80 Concert Band to entertain everyone and the AUCTION of Vaccination and Desexing Vouchers will commence somewhere between 11:30am and 12:00pm. Participants can grab a bargain here!
Aussie Pooch will be there to give the dogs a bath and blow dry.
There will be stalls selling lots of merchandise of ‘all things doggy’.
After the auction when both people and dogs are well rested the Games will begin. These are a great deal of fun for owners and dogs. Have you ever done an Egg & Spoon race with your dog on a lead?
Games should conclude at approx 3:00pm.

On the Day Registration
There is NO registration fee just donation on the day or pick up a sponsorship book from the RSPCA Shelter at Industrial Road, Unanderra.
Online pre-registration fees have been set to suit national levels and are the same for every regional event across Australia. It will be cheaper to register on the day at the Illawarra MPW, however by pre-registering for the event 100% of your fees will be forwarded to RSPCA Illawarra to further support their local animal welfare initiatives.
