ATTENTION TEACHERS AND STUDENTS
- Do you love animals?
- Do you want to see them cared for and protected?
- Then get involved in the Million Paws Walk!
The Million Paws Walk is the RSPCA’s major fundraising event. The RSPCA relies on fundraising events such as this to support its work in caring for and protecting all creatures great and small, throughout every state and territory of Australia.
More than 40,000 people, in every state and territory of Australia, took part in the Million Paws Walk in 2007 and we anticipate even bigger crowds this year.
Your entry fee and sponsorship money will help us:
- Care for the animals living in our Shelters
- Employ Inspectors to work in rescuing animals and investigating possible cruelty and neglect
- Support our education programs for kids and adults.
Each year, RSPCA Inspectors investigate more than 42,000 complaints of cruelty and neglect, from starvation to physical abuse of thousands of animals.
Through your involvement, your school and students can help put a stop to this inhumanity! Getting involved is easy – just remember the three Rs! - REGISTER, RECRUIT and RAISE FUNDS.
How can you get involved?
Well, why not arrange your very own Million Paws Walk at your school? If you would like support and advice on organising and promoting your walk (including posters and sponsorship forms) please contact the Million Paws Walk Coordinator by phoning the RSPCA in your state.
Otherwise, you could send a school team to the Million Paws Walk. Once you have put together your team contact the Million Paws Walk Coordinator for more information. The RSPCA can help you promote the event by supplying posters and even artwork for your school newsletter.
Or you can just come and join in the Walk yourself! Register here.
